Dr. Kendra Woodworth, PsyD, LP
Director
Dr. Kendra Woodworth joined Learning and Language Specialists in 2015 and took over as the director at the end of 2017. She is a Licensed Psychologist and received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults providing comprehensive psychological evaluations and psychotherapy. Areas of interest for therapy include anxiety, depression, ADHD/executive functioning therapy and coaching, attachment, trauma, and behavioral concerns. Dr. Woodworth implements a combination of therapeutic techniques with consideration of clinical presentation, objectives for therapy, and client preferences.
Dr. Babs Vetter, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Babs Vetter received her PhD in Educational Psychology from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She has spent the last 10 years working in K-12 and 18-21 transition programming in public schools as both a special education lead and licensed school psychologist. Dr. Vetter has extensive experience conducting educational assessments related to learning disabilities and social-emotional-behavioral difficulties. She joined Language and Learning Specialists in 2023 as a postdoctoral fellow, and provides comprehensive assessments.
Shainy Kaufman, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech and Language Pathologist
Shainy Kaufman is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She obtained her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati. She has worked in public and private schools in New Jersey and Minnesota administering Speech and Language assessments and intervention to children of all ages. Shainy currently also provides Speech-Language services to public school students around Minnesota.
Mia Dusek, BA
Psychometrician
Mia Dusek graduated from St. Olaf College in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has experience working with kids through summer camps, nannying, and volunteer work, and her passion for working with kids has grown while being at LLS. She also has research experience in the field of psychology through working at the University of Minnesota as well as completing undergraduate research. Mia has plans to further her education in clinical psychology by obtaining a masters degree, and hopes to further the scope through which she can work with and help children.
Sarah Cole, AA
Administrative Assistant
Sarah joined Learning and Language Specialists in 2022 as our administrative assistant. She will likely be your first point of contact with us and help answer any questions, set up appointments, and assist with the insurance or billing processes. Professionally, she has 7+ years of experience in clinical support and medical scheduling. She has an AA of Applied Art and over the years has worked as a jewelry designer, photographer, retail manager, and visual merchandiser. In her free time, she enjoys making jewelry, decorating her home, and spending time with her fiancé and 3 step-children.
Dr. Susan Storti, PhD, MEd, LP, CCC
Founding Director
Dr. Susan Storti established Learning and Language Specialists in 1976. She has retired from providing client services. For more than 40 years, she practiced as a diagnostician, therapist, educator, and writer. Dr. Storti practiced as a Licensed Psychologist and held the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Language and Speech Pathology. Her broad and diverse professional and educational background encompassed communication disorders, learning sciences, cognitive studies, neuropsychology, and special education. Dr. Storti established a practice employing a multifaceted team approach that continues to evaluate, identify, and treat individual cognitive styles and challenges for a wide clientele.
